Core values of the foundation
The foundation works towards a future that is a little bit more beautiful, colourful and liveable. We will get there quicker with the guidance of our core values.
A little effort makes a big difference
We believe that every effort counts – large or small – which is why the foundation wants to invest in projects that take the individual’s own strengths and abilities in account. Similarly, we prefer to support – although not exclusively – small-scale organisations in Sweden and internationally that cannot become beneficiaries of the Postcode Lottery. Acting as a nursery, the foundation have the possibility to enable small organisations to develop into potential beneficiaries of the Swedish Postcode Lottery.
Take action!
The foundation can be quick and flexible, which we see as one of our strengths. Similarly, the foundation wants to support projects that actively contribute to positive change. Wherever problems have been identified, we want to contribute with action! We also venture to support those with innovative ideas who do not hesitate to become pioneers in their work. We believe that the desire to do good should be stronger than the fear of failing.
Long-term thinking
Projects must work to create a long-term and sustainable solution to the problem. This can be achieved, for example, by actively involving target groups in the planning and design of projects in order to encourage ownership and empowerment. Projects can also spread knowledge and awareness of the problem to more people through training and information. We believe that this will give our efforts a greater chance of continuity and impact after the project has ended.
Commitment
The foundation wants to play an active role in changing the world and also participate in projects with active commitment and partnership. This means that the foundation will primarily support specific projects and choose partners who carry out the projects. However, the foundation can also partner with other human rights and charitable organisations to achieve better results and lasting change.
Global responsibility
Our world can no longer be divided into them and us. By supporting projects at a global, regional, national and/or local level, the foundation helps to create better conditions for those in power and individuals to get involved in the change process. For example, financial disparity, climate change and poverty are global problems and our shared responsibility. We believe that we all have a responsibility to one another regardless of where in the world we live, and that everyone should benefit from what we do in Sweden or elsewhere.
Complementarity
The projects supported by the foundation should be current and important to a general public, and they strive to act complementary to other efforts being made. In this way, we hope that by working together with others, change can come faster and add value to the results.
Relevance, trends - Our world
The foundation is part of our Swedish society and our world. It is therefore important that the projects supported by the foundation are perceived by the general public as charitable, important and that they make a difference. The impact of the projects should be visible and noticeable!
