Helping young adolescents
PostkodStiftelsen supports a project in Fryshuset to help young adolescents become part of the Swedish society.
The project consists of several parts, including holiday activities such as theater, music, sports and circus. There are also special activities for boys in which physical activities are combined with talks about self worth. A part of the project focuses on honor-related violence where boys with an immigrant background discuss their attitudes towards women and human rights.
The project also makes efforts to enhance young girls’ physical well-being. With the guidance of mentors and coaches the girls are given the opportunity to talk about and discuss issues that concerns them.
