Children all over the world vote to nominate a children's rights hero
Within this project, children all over the world will learn about their rights and how to strengthen their self-esteem. All children also participate in the annual global vote were they vote for their child rights hero. The winner 2008 was a woman from Cambodia, who herself had been a sex slave as a child, and now works to protect as many children as possible in Cambodia from being forced into sex slavery. The winner 2009 was South Africas former president, Nelson Mandela.
