Swedish Postcode Lottery

The Swedish Postcode Lottery is a lottery with the purpose to raise money to charity. The Lottery supports organisations, so-called beneficiaries, who work for a better world. The Swedish Postcode Lottery has currently 40 beneficiaries and the Postcode Foundation is one of them.

The Postcode Foundation has a unique position as a beneficiary because it is not the final recipients of the funds. Instead the task of the Foundation is to locate and manage various types of projects and organisations around the world in order to maximize the benefits from the money.

Most of the Foundation's revenues come from the Swedish Postcode Lottery. The Postcode Lottery receives its revenue by selling lottery tickets and donates its surplus to charitable causes. One million subscribers participate in the lottery, which has given 2,8 billion SEK, during the period of six years, to selected charity organisations.
